About me
Dr. Nancy Rawson obtained her MSc in Nutrition at the University of Massachusetts, and her PhD in biology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her career in basic research at the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelpia encompassed work in the metabolic basis of eating behavior, the cell and molecular biology of olfaction and taste, and the impact of disease and aging on chemosensory function. Subsequently, she served as Chief Scientific Officer of Wellgen, a nutritional ingredient company, and led the research team at AFB International, a petfood ingredient company. Since returning to Monell as Associate Director, she has worked to accelerate patient centered outcomes research to address the growing prevalence of taste and smell disorders. She currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Impact Officer, connecting Monell science to address challenges in the food, flavor, fragrance and biomedical arenas.
